There are now apps that bring immediate convenience to pretty much every aspect of your life- there’s Seamless to bring you food, Uber to bring you cabs, and now there’s Pure to bring you sex. Immediately.
If you thought apps like Tinder or Hinge already made dating casual and convenient enough, Pure somehow makes these apps look complex and involved in comparison. Don’t be fooled by the innocent sounding name; Pure simplifies your exchange down to a booty call between strangers. No dating profiles, no encumbering conversation. The creators of this app essentially developed the most straight-to-the-point way to find a hook up, thinking of all the features that would help facilitate and expedite the process. So if you’re in the mood to get down, here’s how it works:
- Upload a photo
- Submit a request
- Specify sex/sexual preferences and if you’ll travel or host
- Give several match options near you the “Okay” or “No Way”
- Get a match!
- Request more pictures of their face… or other body parts
- Get each other’s coordinates and an hour to meet
- Everything is deleted in an hour
So how do you filter out all those creeps out there? Pure thought of that too; the app allows for confidential user feedback so you know what you’re getting yourself into (as much as an interaction like this could allow, at least), and users who habitually fail to show up are banned.
Their slogan is “The right way to get a date. On-demand.” But they’re not trying to fool anyone by calling these exchanges “dates,” as their website clearly states “‘Pure’ is an app that connects people looking for immediate sex.” The current version has a 4 star rating in the iTunes app store, and is still awaiting release on Google Play.
