Best Recipes to Celebrate National Martini Day

It’s national Martini Day! That’s right, you can have a martini at work and not be judged for it. In honor of the day, we’ve put together a list of classic and quirky martini recipes.

1. Classic Martini

Of course, you can make a classic martini with either vodka or gin. Today, we’re going for a gin martini, courtesy of Epicurious. This martini is perfect for a warm day. Switch out the olives for a lemon peel if you’re feeling adventurous.

2. Apple Martini

We feel you, J.D. Smirnoff’s appletini is sure to quench your thirst and taste delicious!

3. Espresso Martini

For something a bit more outside of the box, try out an espresso martini. This martini is made with vodka, Kahlua, espresso and a dash of simple syrup. It’s a personal favorite and is great to perk you back up after a long work day!

4. Peach Pomegranate Martini

This martini was created at the Ritz-Carlton, so it’s sure to satisfy those with even the most luxurious tastes. The peach pomegranate martini is a bit more complicated than most, but if you put in the effort, it is sure to delight!

5. Prosciutto and Melon Martini

Yup, you read that right. A prosciutto and melon martini. This sucker is made with grappa and honeydew and thin slices of prosciutto. You’ll have to invest some time in allowing the grappa to become honeydew-infused, but it’s worth it.

6. Cake Batter Martini

How Sweet It Is graciously shares a cake batter martini with the world. This martini is ingredient heavy, with amaretto, whipped cream vodka, Godiva liqueur and creme de cacao, but it’s worth it. This martini is especially great for those of us who still don’t actually really love the martini — I know you’re out there.

7. Watermelon Martini

For a hot day, try out a watermelon martini, courtesy of Bobby Flay. The frozen watermelon will have you swooning.

8. Red Pepper Martini

Can’t get enough spice in your life? Try out this red pepper martini, from Cookie and Kate. This martini incorporates bell and jalepeno peppers as well as garlic and hot sauce. This is a cocktail only for the truly adventurous!

9. Spiced Caramel Apple Martini

For a twist on a classic Apple-tini (sorry, J.D.), try a caramel apple martini. This martini includes cider, caramel vodka and ginger liqueur. Your tummy is sure to thank you, especially on a cool night.

10. S’mores Martini

Some days, you need to combine the comfort of being a kid with the comfort of alcohol. Don’t worry, we get it. The s’mores martini is perfect for that day! Top a S’mores martini with some Marshmallow Fluff for added nostalgia.

What martini will you be trying out to celebrate National Martini Day? Whatever it is, be sure to drink responsibly!
